Himlung Himal Expedition Overview

Himlung Expedition is a well-known climbing top over 7000 meters in the western piece of Nepal. The mountain is best for the preparation of 8000-meter peak climbing in the future.

Himlung Himal (7,126m/23,345ft) is a 7000m peak located in Nepal's western region. Situated just above the ancient Tibetan village of Phu, Himlung lies in the Naar-Phu region in the northeast of Annapurna and northwest of Manaslu. In 1992 Naar-Phu region officially opened for foreign expeditions and trekkers. This region is still a restricted area; for this reason, all climbers must get a particular regional area and climbing permit to enter. The peak gained more popularity when Mr. Akio Koizumi from Japan reached fewer expeditions than any other mountains in the different regions, such as the Khumbu. In terms of popularity, the climbing in Naar-Phu is not comparable with the Khumbu. The valley rivals beauty to the more popular Khumbu, offering magnificent views of Manaslu, Annapurna, Fishtail, and Gangapurna. The second rising of the pinnacle success ten years after the first ascent by a French expedition team in 2002. According to the summiteer's experience, this 7000m peak is one of the safest and most uncomplicated projects in the Himalayas. The climb of Himlung Himal through the typical course represents no specialized issues. The trail leads through day snow and ice with no stone climbing sections. The climbing season is in the fall and spring.

During the Himlung Himal expedition, Satori Adventure will always focus on our client's success, ensuring safety, comfort, and an enjoyable experience. Our strategy made by an exercise physiologist and experienced climbing Sherpa guides who have high altitude training. We try our best to be as efficient as possible with our itineraries, ensuring that there is not much waste of time. We consider that our clients might have only a short time off work, rest assured that satori will well spend your time and money. This 7000m pinnacle is the moderate and significant groundwork for impending campaigns like Manaslu, Cho-Oyu, or Shishapgnama. Beforehand a confined locale, the Nepal government opened the area after 2001. As of this composition, a couple of undertaking groups, including the Japanese and French, have summited Mount Himlung. After 2013 the 7000m pinnacle turns into a more perceived option in getting ready for Baruntse, Churen Himal, Putha Hunchuli, or Pumori.

The stroll along the Phu River is a unique experience even for Nepal, and the pristine beauty is a sight to see. Since the villages in this valley are so close to Tibet, they attract by Tibetan culture. The journey begins with a scenic drive to Besisahar by private jeep. Here you will stay overnight at this modern village; the next day, you will switch to a local jeep and continue 6 hours to reach Koto (2600m/8,530ft). You will have one acclimatization day at this historical village. Feel free to explore this village or rest. Koto is a 5-day trip to the Himlung Himal headquarters (4850m/15,912ft). The path moves in the East's direction and goes through Dharmasala, Meta, Kyang, and Phugaon, the district's most significant old Buddhist settlement. The headquarters is in a subalpine zone with grass and other greenery; it is genuinely agreeable and pleasing. There are roughly 3-5 climbing groups each spring and pre-winter season.

We climbed Himlung Himal few years ago at spring period. This mountain, more 7000 m is quite accessible. The major interest is the full trail . The "Phu" vallay is so nice and people are very friendly. After Phu, you are in the "wild" only with ibex. The advanced base camp is very nice to have a rest in a gorgeous landscape. When we climbed this mountain, there was only one other group which didn t succeed. With our team, we had to find the good way in big crevasses. There are no major danger (crevasses or avalanche). On short difficult passage is nearly 6000 m, there is a big crevasse. Above this part, there are regular and gentle slopes. Camp Nr 3 is approximatively 6400m. Don t under estimate the last day to reach the summit. It is not difficult, but a long way and the final slope is in good condition. From the top the view is extraordinary on Manaslu and Annapurna and Tibet. At spring season, you need to start from camp 3 at 2 or 3:00 am, because it is very usual that the clouds come at the end of the morning. I encourage all of you the climb this mountain with Satori and Rishi Bandari. His team is very professionnal and efficient. We did many trek and summit (like Mera Peak). This summit is realy appropriated for not experineced climbers. A good step before going higher and further on the more difficult summits. And top of all, the palce is wild and not crowded! I encourage everybody to do this ascent (with a little bit training before).

Since 2011 every year I had been helped by Rishi in all mine journeys to Nepal. During mine last 7 visits I finally completed GHT. This year it was a section of 700km through mountains on Far West. And all logistics, documents and crew issues was successfuly handled with friendly and professional assistance of director of Satori Adventures. Real personal envolvment of crew in any issues which a traveller may face during Himalayas trips!

This was my first time using Satori and what a faultless experience it was. Everything was very well organised. The Sherpas were amazing with a huge amount of experience between them. The food was great, they managed to cater for my vegan diet extremely well. All the equipment was of a very high standard. They are very passionate about improving their service as much as they can and when asked for feedback I couldn't think of a single thing I'd change. Looking forward to the next trip already!

Always a pleasant experience with Satori expeditions. The founder Rishi Bhandari and his staff go out of their way to make sure everything is in place and we have a pleasant, safe experience. I ve stayed in their camps at Everest Base Camp and I m also attempting Mt. Everest with them in spring 2021. I think whoever comes to Satori turns in to a lifetime repeating client. Mr. Mingma Tenji Sherpa is a Profession and Experience team leader, who makes all the difficulty in possible Ways to climb. He is such a dynamic climbing leader that I ever found. Thanks, Rishi and Satori entire team.

Satori Adventure is a very professional company for any adventures in Nepal and other countries. I did the second expedition with Satori: to Hinlung Himal (7126m). Everything was very very good organized: pick up from the airport, hotel in Kathmandu, transfer to the mountains, trekking to Base camp. In Base camp there is waiting an excellent team of Nepali people! Food is amazing and absolutely safe for tourist stomachs, if there is any problem they help, everything is clean and comfortable, everyone is helping every time.
